Niki and Dan’s wedding day at Almquist Farm in Hastings was amazing.  Every detail was beautiful and the golden hour sunset amidst the rolling hills of prairie and grand oak trees was unbelievable!  The day began with the ladies and Lindsay from Spa Beauty did an amazing job on makeup and created the most incredible arrangement for Niki’s hair – her braid was stunning!  Niki’s sister and mom helped her into her dress from Avancy Bridal in Phoenix, AZ and we loved her first look with her father and bridesmaids.  Dan’s reaction to seeing his bride was incredibly sweet and following portraits of the two of them, the wedding party joined us.  The bridesmaids were in dresses by Kennedy Blue from the Wedding Shoppe and the men’s suits were from Jos A Bank.

Every space at Almquist Farm is breathtaking!  Following a beautiful ceremony, guests had a great time enjoying the grounds for cocktail hour and the reception.  There are countless incredible moments to a wedding day but one of our favorites is capturing the first portraits of a couple just after they have officially become husband and wife!  The golden sunset light was streaming through the windows as Niki and Dan were finishing their dinner.  We slipped out a side door and walked quickly to a spot along the hills. Niki and Dan completely savored the moment. Hand in hand the newlyweds slowly walked through the fields pausing occasionally to kiss, hug, and chat about their day. It was one of those perfect fleeting moments you wish would last forever and we are so thankful to have been able to capture it! Niki and Dan, it was an honor to be a part of your day.  We hope your reception in Arizona is an incredible celebration with family and friends and that you have an amazing time honeymooning in St. Lucia!
