Anoka | Fall Engagement

Fall is one of our favorite seasons. The colors, the golden evening light, the warm sunshine with cooler evenings, and the texture of the grassy fields and leaves are incredible. Not to mention the comfortable temps for photoshoots. If you are looking for a season where your hair behaves without the humidity and yet it’s still possible to be outside without a heavy jacket, a hat, and some mittens, fall is about the best season in Minnesota for photos!

Kirsten and Cullen planned to take full advantage of the gorgeous weather and drove down from Albertville for their engagement session on one of the most beautiful evenings of the month! They came prepared with props and blankets which we love incorporating into sessions to provide variety in colors and texture. Props are also fun for Save-the-Dates to send to family and friends! Kirsten’s long, white, floral wrap was gorgeous and we loved the way it tied in a subtle bridal feel. The way the light shined through it was amazing! We also loved Kirsten’s bright red dress – it was perfect for the season and we love how the color popped against the yellows of the field. The blanket they used worked perfectly with Cullen’s plaid shirt and we love the way Kirsten’s jewelry and ring pulled together perfectly!

These two are also planning a fall wedding at the beautiful Stone Hill Farm in Eagle Bend next year. When we asked Kirsten how wedding plans were coming, she smiled and said she was almost finished! We love it when we work with brides who are organized, love all things wedding, and can’t wait to get started on all their planning! These two are so much fun together and we are so excited to celebrate with them next fall on their big day!
