We love getting to know couples through the stories of how they met and got engaged, and their favorite things to do as a couple. Alice and Jamie got engaged at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. Best known for its iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry, the garden is home to over 40 works from the Walker Art Center’s collection. One of its newest additions is “Hahn/Cock” – the gigantic blue rooster that inspired the design for this couple’s wedding invitations and decor! We loved the rich blues they tied in throughout their day! Following the couple’s first look, Alice and Jamie recited private vows to each other after which, Jamie offered Alice a single red rose – a sweet nod to one of her favorite shows – The Bachelor!
Alice and Jamie were so much fun and their St. Paul College Club wedding was a blast! We started the day with the talents of Makeup by Malee and Jasmin Hoffman on hair. Alice’s gown was by Willowby – Watters which she found at the Wedding Shoppe! Stephanie Hagen put together beautiful white bouquets accented with blue to tie in the colors of the day. We completely fell in love with Alice’s shoes! They were a perfect tie-in of the greens of the ivy throughout the grounds – just one of many of our favorite things about this venue!
Our highlight of the day was when Alice surprised Jamie by singing a song during the ceremony! It was absolutely beautiful! We took photos with friends and family following the ceremony and the reception began with dinner, speeches, and an adorable coffee and donut cake! The couple danced to live music by Alice’s friends and the dance kicked off with the Knights of Turntable DJ. It was so much fun to be a part of this wedding and we wish Jamie and Alice all the best in the years to come!
