We first met Julia while photographing her sister, Jessica’s wedding and totally fell in love with the Samii family!  We were so honored when Julia asked us to photograph her own wedding and getting to know she and Mark’s story has been so much fun!  Julia was a computer sales associate at Best Buy when she met Mark who was working as a Geek Squad Agent.  It was a match made in heaven and they began dating on Black Friday!  We knew there was something about this couple that we loved as our own first Black Friday experience was camping out all night in the parking lot of a Best Buy – to purchase, nothing other than, a laptop!

We knew we would have a blast at Julia and Mark’s wedding and Lowertown Event Center in St. Paul was the perfect venue for their beautiful spring day!  The trees were in bloom and we began the day at Julia’s for hair and makeup with the incredibly talented War Paint International.  We headed off to Lowertown for Julia to put on her beautiful dress from Posh Bridal Boutique and loved seeing her bridesmaids see her in her gown for the first time!  The bridesmaid dresses were from Bella Bridal and we loved the way the spring colors worked with the gorgeous bouquets by Rose Floral.  Mark looked classy in his suit from Men’s Wearhouse and we loved his first look and portraits with Julia as we explored St. Paul.  We loved serving alongside KAS Films to capture all of the sweet emotion of the day!

The ceremony began accompanied by the Birchwood String Quartet.  It was absolutely beautiful!  One of our favorite moments of the day was the speeches.  From Mark’s Best Man, to Julia’s sisters and mom, to the toasts by the fathers, every single speech was filled with laughter, tears, and so much sweet emotion!  We loved getting to know all of the family connections throughout the evening!  Julia’s nana owns the Ultimate Cheesecake Bakery and the cheesecakes were gorgeous!  We think everyone needs a family connection with someone in the dessert business…  Barefoot DJs put on a great dance and we finished off the evening with a bouquet toss.  Julia’s youngest sister caught the bouquet and if tradition holds true, we sure would love to photograph her wedding some day!!!  Julia and Mark, your day was amazing and we hope Jamaica is an incredible way to kick off life as newlyweds!
