Documenting families’ stories through portrait sessions is one of our greatest joys! We have known Kurstin’s family for years, and were incredibly honored to capture their first session on Sanibel Island, the very same place that she and her husband had gotten married!  It felt like such a full-circle moment, and this year, we were so excited to connect again in Cape Coral!  It is truly an honor when families book multiple sessions over the years, and we are always amazed to see how much their kids have grown!  We have had the privilege of watching these boys grow into best friends, and we loved seeing their personalities shine through their session.  They are some of the most polite, kind, and talented kids we know, and their relationships with each other are so sweet!

We began portraits among the palms, and the boys did an incredible job for photos!  Kurstin was hoping for natural green backdrops this time around, and we couldn’t have loved her session more.  The golden evening light was absolute perfection, and their outfit’s colors coordinated beautifully with the lush palm and banyon trees. You can never go wrong with blues and whites, especially in a tropical or nautical setting!

As the evening came to a close, we headed to the marina for photos on the docks.  We had the best time chatting as we walked and loved hearing more about their second-born’s plans to work as a first mate with a tarpon fishing charter.  Our own family enjoyed a fishing trip with him last month, and we are beyond excited for him as he continues to pursue his dream!  We couldn’t have had a better time with Kurstin’s beautiful family, and we can’t wait to connect with them again in our next season in Southwest Florida!
