Photographing engagement sessions is always so much fun, but capturing sessions surrounded by palm trees, sunshine, and crashing ocean waves in the middle of winter is a dream come true!  When we learned that Katherine and Aaron would be celebrating the holidays with family down in Naples, we were thrilled when they requested a session on the beach.  Being able to capture outdoor portraits year-round has been an incredible privilege these past few years, and we can’t wait to continue connecting with many more couples in Southwest Florida this season!

We met Katherine and Aaron on a stunning winter evening and had the best time as we explored the streets together, pausing for portraits as we walked.  As the sun began to set, we headed out to the beach for a few photos under the Pier and along the sandy shore.  The wind created some pretty epic waves, and we love all the texture that they added to the backdrop.  The breathtaking setting, paired with Katherine and Aaron’s gorgeous smiles made this session a breeze to photograph!

These two are such a beautiful couple, and have been incredibly kind from the moment they reached out to book.  After spending the evening together, it was clear that they are completely perfect for each other!  They met through friends in Wisconsin, fell in love, and got engaged in Minnesota.  The two were in town to celebrate Thanksgiving with family when they decided to go out to eat at COV in Wayzata.  Surrounded by twinkling Christmas lights, Aaron got down on one knee, and family and friends documented the moment that Katherine said “Yes!”  The wedding planning began, and we are beyond excited that they decided on the Beach Club in Minneapolis to host their big day! We can’t wait to capture it!
