Cape Coral, Florida | Family Portrait Session

It was three years ago when we first discovered the Yacht Club Beach in Cape Coral while we were scouting out locations to use for sessions.  From the moment we arrived, we knew this hidden gem would be ideal for family portraits!  The walk to the water’s edge is just steps from the parking lot, and gorgeous palm trees are scattered throughout the sand.  We were beyond excited when Kaylie reached out to request a family session in Cape Coral, and we knew that the beach would be the perfect tropical setting.

Kaylie arrived with her husband and daughters as well as her parents and siblings on an absolutely beautiful evening.  We began portraits as we walked beside the water and then set out to find some seashells.  There is nothing sweeter than watching a three-year-old searching for shells and smiling as she holds out just the right one for pictures.  Kaylie’s daughters did an amazing job for photos, and their precious smiles with their mom, auntie, and grandpa made for some of the most adorable moments captured!  We finished exploring the beach before heading to the surrounding trees for a few portraits of Kaylie’s parents, chatting as we went.

It has been so much fun to connect with fellow Minnesotans who have traveled to vacation together in Southwest Florida, and especially with those who, like us, call Cape Coral a home away from home!  Kaylie’s family was such a joy to serve, and they finished out their session all-smiles as they walked to dinner. They ate at The Boathouse – one of our favorite restaurants right on the beach.  Its open air seating options allow you to dine right in the sand – definitely a treat for those of us escaping the cold winter months up north, and the perfect way to end a beautiful evening!
