We crossed the Sanibel Island Causeway bright and early and couldn’t wait to photograph another sunrise family portrait session!  As we drove along the quiet island roads, a soft glow of light began to appear at the horizon as we arrived in the parking lot of Lighthouse Beach Park.  Denise’s family had driven up from Naples for their session and we were so excited to connect with fellow Minnesotans as they vacation in Florida!  We were actually hosting family ourselves and could not be more grateful for time together while enjoying the beauty of the sunshine state!

The sun had just peeked over the horizon as we began the session, giving us the most ideal, soft and dreamy light. Denise’s family looked absolutely amazing in their pastel colors that were perfect for the beach!  We started off on one side of the island and slowly made our way around to the other, stopping at the historic lighthouse in the middle for our favorite white backdrop.  We have had the pleasure of photographing Denise’s family in Minnesota as well, and it was so much fun to see her kids again!  We chatted a bit about their trip as we captured portraits of each individual family as well as group shots and grandkid photos.

Being able to spend time with cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents in Florida is such a gift!  We know first-hand how quickly time flies and how special time spent with the people we love is!  We love being able to document moments like these, and hope that these images are some that this family will look back on for many years to come!  It has been such an honor working with so many sweet families, and we are incredibly thankful to be serving them on the beaches of Southwest Florida!
