Exploring the Stillwater and Marine on St. Croix areas has been a photographer’s dream-come-true.  Ever since moving to the area, we have been anxiously awaiting the chance to photograph sessions in the beautiful William O’Brien State Park!  Its rolling hills, now covered in vibrant fall color, provided the perfect natural setting for Rachael and Charlie’s engagement session.

These two are such a beautiful couple, with the sweetest engagement story.  Charlie proposed to Rachael at a cabin in upstate New York. After waking her up early to watch the sunrise over the lake, he asked her to be his wife and gave her his grandmother’s custom cut English ring.  Of course she said yes, and the wedding planning began!  They reached out to us to book their wedding and engagement session, and decided to bring their adorable dog along.  After taking the first few photos, it was safe to say that they literally have the most obedient puppy on the planet.  A true puppy model in the making!  We had such a great time chatting together while walking through the fields as the sun shone through the trees.  Rachael and Charlie looked amazing, and their outfits could not have been more perfect for the setting!

We finished up their session at a nearby winery and were absolutely swooning over the golden-hour glow.  If we could copy the evening’s light for their wedding day next fall, we would be thrilled!  Rachael and Charlie will be hosting their big day at the incredible Camrose Hill Flower Studio and Farm.  Its stunning ceremony site tucked into the woods and surrounded by lush greens and florals easily makes it one of our favorite venues.  There is certainly no shortage of breathtaking backdrops, and with these two, we know we are in for an absolutely gorgeous wedding day!
