It’s hard to believe that one year ago, we were exploring Minneapolis on a gorgeous spring evening for Laura and Dereck’s engagement session.  Little did we know at the time, that their fall wedding would be hosted in the spring instead!  These two have been amazing at rolling with the changes and ended up hosting their big day at The Pines Wedding & Events Venue in Davenport North Dakota.  Their day could not have been more perfect and Emily and her team at the Pines were wonderful to work with!

The morning began with the ladies as they finished getting ready, and Cally Jo Salon did a beautiful job on hair and makeup.  Laura’s mom helped her into her gorgeous gown by Rita Vineras from Annika Bridal, and it was so sweet to see her dad’s reaction to seeing her for the first time.  We headed to the barn for Laura and Dereck’s first look, and then spent some time exploring the beautiful grounds as we captured some bride and groom portraits.  Soon after, the wedding party joined us. The ladies looked beautiful in their dresses from Bella Bridesmaids with their bouquets by Love Always Floral.  The men were looking dapper in their suits from Milbern’s in St. Paul.  We finished up portraits with the family and waited on a bit more rain before the outdoor ceremony began.  Glasser Images was wonderful to work with and did an amazing job capturing the day on video!  

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed dinner and dessert by Nothing Bundt Cakes, and Laura and Dereck celebrated with a traditional Norwegian Kransekakke cake.  The evening ended with dancing hosted by the incredible Bluewater Kings Band and a gorgeous sparkler send off.  Laura and Dereck, your day was incredible and we know that Maui and Kauai will be the perfect way to kick off life together as newlyweds!
