St. Anthony Main, Minneapolis | Spring Engagement

Engagement sessions are back in full swing and we couldn’t be happier to be out and about and enjoying spring!  It’s safe to say that this has been the most unusual year our business has ever experienced.  We have missed photographing couples so much and it has been an extremely long three months since our last engagement session!  We had been counting down the days until we could start working with our couples again and Laura and Dereck’s session was the perfect way to kick off the 2020 season!

Laura and Dereck are seriously amazing!  These two are incredibly kind and an absolutely gorgeous couple! Their love for each other is so beautiful and we were so excited to capture their relationship in the same place that Dereck had proposed.  They met in college before Laura left to spend some time in Arizona for school. After she returned, they began dating and both knew it was meant to be!  Dereck’s Stone Arch Bridge proposal in January was perfect and the wedding planning began!

When we booked their engagement session back in February, we had no idea it would take place just after Minnesota would open back up following a state-wide shut down.  Thankfully, we did not need to postpone their session and got to enjoy a beautiful spring evening together!  We explored the streets of Minneapolis and took full advantage of the beautiful flowering trees in the area.  These two looked amazing in their gorgeous burgundy dress and navy suit and their classy black and pastel combo that coordinated perfectly with the spring colors.  We ended the evening on the Stone Arch Bridge just as the skyline began to light up.  We could not be more excited to celebrate with them at their wedding this fall at Aria in downtown Minneapolis!
