With its world-renowned beaches, luxurious shopping, and fine dining experiences, Naples, Florida is like something out of a dream. We travelled to Naples for the first time to photograph a wedding at the breathtaking Naples Bay Resort and Marina and completely fell in love with this sophisticated slice of Florida.
Southwest Florida is an absolutely incredible destination, and one we are now thrilled to be able to call our “home away from home.” Whether you are traveling for a vacation, or in the area for a wedding, engagement, or portrait session, we have discovered a few new favorites this year, and wanted to share them with you!
Beaches we Visited: Clam Pass Beach Park, Seagate Beach, Naples Beach and Pier for sunset
Parking: Parking for Clam Pass Beach includes large lots and an $8 parking fee, Seagate Beach offers 2 very small lots, and we parked and paid on the street and walked to the Naples Pier. Detailed parking information can be found here.
Walk to Beach: After parking at Clam Pass Beach Park, you have the option of walking, however, it is a long walk when carrying beach gear. We utilized the free tram ride to the beach and were very grateful. Walking to Seagate Beach is about 1 block in length. Walking to Naples Beach varies depending on where you park.
Amenities: All beaches have restrooms for a place to change for your photo session.
Dining favs: La Trattoria was amazing and the perfect Italian atmosphere. Though we did not make it to Jane’s Garden Cafe this time around, it remains a favorite of ours as well.
Other favorite places: 5th Avenue South and 3rd Street South for shopping!
Whether you are visiting Florida on vacation, here for your destination wedding, engagement, or portrait session, or simply planning a day at the beach, we hope that these ideas are helpful as you plan your time in the beautiful sunshine state!
