One of the downsides to photographing weddings is that we get to connect with such incredible couples over the course of several months as they plan and prepare for their big day, only to say farewell after celebrating one of the most meaningful days of their lives with them!  Wedding days happen so quickly which is one of the reasons we love to be able to do what we do: freeze time and capture the emotions of the day for couples to be able to relive over and over again.  With the challenges that 2020 has presented, Laura and Dan decided to split their day in half and host their ceremony in the summer and their reception in the fall…which meant a bonus wedding day for us!!!  We couldn’t wait to photograph this sweet couple again, and were beyond excited to be back working with Erin and her team at the beautiful Leopold’s Mississippi Gardens.

Once again, Taj Salon did an amazing job on hair and makeup and we love that Laura decided to do her hair differently this time around – a perk of a second wedding day for sure!  She wore her gorgeous gown from Posh Bridal Couture by Blue by Enzoani and her bridesmaids looked beautiful in their dresses by Kennedy Blue. Artemisia Studios never ceases to amaze us with their gorgeous bouquets and their colors could not have been more perfect in the glowing, fall light.  We kicked off portraits with Laura and Dan’s dog, Hank, and had a blast exploring the grounds along the Mississippi River with the talented Kaylee LaMoine Productions!  

Following wedding party and family photos, guests arrived for the reception and enjoyed dinner by Mintahoe Catering.  The evening ended with an epic dance party hosted by Instant Request DJ, and a stunning sparkler exit!  Once again, we were blown away by Laura and Dan’s incredibly kind families and friends and we were honored to be able to celebrate with them again!
