Machine Shop, Minneapolis | Summer Engagement

It’s no secret that we love a good love story.  We also love weddings, and when a love story begins at a wedding, we think it’s pure romance at its best!  Heather met Cole at her cousin’s wedding a few years ago.  As soon as Cole spotted her, he knew he wanted to ask her to dance, and slowly worked up the courage to ask by the end of the evening.  The two hit it off and the romance began, and continued as Cole planned his surprise proposal this past December.  The stage was set on the apartment building rooftop when Cole asked Heather if she wanted to take a photo with the city skyline as their backdrop.  She agreed, and when they reached the roof, Cole got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife!

They began planning their dream wedding and fell in love with the incredible Semple Mansion in Minneapolis.  Semple is gorgeous in any season, but becomes something out of a fairytale surrounded by beautiful white snow in the winter.  We are so excited to be a part of their big day and it has been so much fun hearing all about their plans.  Heather found her wedding dress, which happened to be the very first dress she tried on.  It was yet another love-at-first-site moment as she just knew it was the one!

We love getting to know our couples and had the best time with Heather and Cole at their beautiful summer evening engagement session.  We started off at the Machine Shop and took full advantage of the brick backdrops before continuing on exploring the streets of Minneapolis.  These two were so sweet together as they strolled down St. Anthony Main by Aster Café.  We walked down to capture the city skyline to finish up another perfect evening with an amazing couple!
