This family.  Just when we think they could not possibly be any cuter, they go and add another baby and completely blow us away!  They are such a beautiful family and their boys are just way too adorable to handle.  We had the privilege of capturing their family a few years ago and when the reached out to book another session with the newest member of their family, we could hardly contain our excitement!  We had an absolute blast running around and exploring St. Paul with all of its epic brick backdrops and completely fell in love with these brothers all over again.

The location of a family session can really set the tone.  The first thing to decide, is whether you’d like to feature the natural beauty of the outdoors, or the more urban sites of the metro. I love shooting in both natural settings with the variety of backdrops and natural light, as well as throughout the metro featuring brick backdrops and the skyline. We love variety and being able to photograph in both settings is one of our favorite parts of living in the Twin Cities.  The best of both worlds are just minutes away.

Our goal for family sessions is simple, for the session to be as fun and stress free as possible!  We have so many tips we could share but a few we love to highlight for families with young children are to, one, eat a small meal just before beginning the session, and two, schedule the session somewhere between nap time and bed time.  Keeping kiddos well fed and rested will allow us to capture them at their happiest and we’ll be able to capture their very best smiles!  These sessions are always filled with laughter, fun, and priceless memories that will last a lifetime!
