Leopold’s Mississippi Gardens is an incredibly beautiful venue this time of year! Situated up on the hills along the Mississippi River, its gorgeous gardens were the perfect setting to host Laura and Dan’s summer wedding day! Erin and her team are amazing and ensured the day went perfectly smooth from start to finish. Taj Salon did a beautiful job on hair and makeup and Laura’s hairpiece was absolutely gorgeous! Laura’s mom helped her into her beautiful gown from Posh Bridal Couture by Blue by Enzoani and she stepped out to greet her father and grandpa before heading down to meet her groom. She approached Dan slowly as he stood near the iconic swing among the gardens. Artemisia Studios created a stunning bouquet for Laura and the colors couldn’t have been more perfect for the setting! These two are the sweetest couple and were such a joy to serve!
Following portraits, the ceremony began with music by the talented Birchwood String Quartet. Working alongside Kaylee LaMoine Productions was so much fun! Kaylee was phenomenal to work with and we can’t wait to see the emotion she captured on video! After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a toast and cake by Mintahoe Catering. The evening ended with the sweetest surprise – a Zoom call with many more family and friends! It was epic – and such a privilege to capture their laughter and joy!
As we reminisced on how much fun it was to spend time with Laura and Dan at their engagement session last fall, we were so excited for their wedding day! As the day drew near, and we realized that our world’s current pandemic would throw a wrench in their plans, Laura and Dan decided to split their day in half and host their full reception with their guests in the fall. We couldn’t be more honored to hear Laura’s sweet words: “We are looking forward to getting to work you guys multiple times; that’s definitely the silver lining in all of this!” Laura and Dan, we couldn’t agree more!
