One of our favorite things about capturing engagement sessions is that we have the opportunity to get to know our couples before being a part of the most special days of their lives!  From the first conversation with Laura and Dan, we knew these two were meant to be!  They met in Physical Therapy school and hit it off as they studied together and eventually began dating.  After graduating together, their work in healthcare brought them to Minneapolis where they love spending time together exploring the city.

The Stone Arch Bridge, one of Minneapolis’ most iconic places to explore, was the perfect place for Dan to pop the big question.  Despite the cold, windy, October weather, the two of them set off along the bridge until Laura spotted an electric scooter for rent.  As she took off, Dan nearly panicked that Laura would see her brother hidden with a camera ready to capture the big moment.  Thankfully, he was able to keep out of site and Dan made it down on one knee to surprise her by asking her to be his wife!  That night, the two of them celebrated with family and friends who can’t wait to celebrate with them again at their summer wedding!

We knew Minneapolis was the perfect place to continue documenting Laura and Dan’s love story.  Loring Social is one of our favorite spots for engagement sessions with its cobblestone streets and ivy laden backdrops.  Laura and Dan will be getting married at one of our favorite venues along the Mississippi.  Leopold’s Mississippi Gardens will be in full bloom and gorgeous for their summer wedding!  These two are so sweet together and we love their hearts for serving others, which just makes us all the more excited to capture the joy on their wedding day!
