Merissa and Mat are engaged and we couldn’t be more excited to photograph their wedding next summer at the Depot in the Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel!  These two are such a sweet and beautiful couple!  They were so much fun to work with and we had a blast laughing our way through their engagement session!  We strolled along the streets of St. Anthony Main and stopped along the riverside enjoying the city skyline view.

Not only was their session at one of our favorites spots in Minneapolis, but the light on this evening was nothing short of perfection!  We knew that Merissa was hoping for golden hour photos and it couldn’t have been a more beautiful evening.  The summer sunshine and the greens of the natural backdrops were incredible.  Every single detail including Merissa’s hair and her makeup by Makeup by Mindie were stunning!  We were completely in love with Merissa’s white floral dress – she and Mat looked so classy in both of their outfits and we loved the pop of red Merissa brought into her second outfit!  The lighting had changed by the end of the evening and we loved the way the city lights worked with her bold colors.

We had so much fun together and didn’t want the night to end.  Nights like this make us want to photograph engagement sessions all the time!  The engagement session is the perfect opportunity to practice before the wedding day!  It is such a great way for us to get to know each other, laugh and have fun as we interact.  It also allows you to get to know our style of shooting and helps us to get to know you as a couple and the way you naturally interact!  It is also a reminder of how much we love what we do!
