Summer might be our favorite season here in Minnesota.  Warm, golden sunshine lasting late into the evenings is something that we chase year-round as we travel south in the winter.  Earlier this year, we had the privilege of photographing an engagement session in Naples, Florida, and ended the evening with the couple’s airplane.  Photographing a session with an airplane has been on our bucket list for years and we couldn’t wait to share our excitement on social media!  When a former coworker learned that it was a dream of ours, she reached out to see if we would be able to capture family photos with their airplane as well!  Of course we jumped at the chance and couldn’t wait for their summer session!

Krissy is the sweetest and we have loved connecting with her and her family!  She has worked with children for years and definitely understands how quickly time flies and how fast kids grow!  Being able to photograph her family and incorporate something that they love to do together was so much fun!  We met in Lino Lakes and started things off at 7:00 pm just before the sun began to set.  We had perfect golden hour light and took full advantage of it!  We love how the soft, dreamy glow of the light worked with the pastel colors of their outfits.  They even coordinated perfectly with the airplane!  

We finished up the session by firing up the engines and starting down the runway.  However, with the session ending at dusk, we weren’t able to actually take off and fly. The kids were excited to at least give a tour of the airplane and were both so much fun!  We know that flying together as a family will be something they will remember for the rest of their lives!
