Can we just tell you how much we love our couples!?!  Sammi and Matt are hilarious and we absolutely loved every minute of working with them!  From their fun engagement session to their wedding day, we had the best time together!  Almquist Farm was the perfect rustic venue for their outdoor spring wedding.  We had the privilege of working alongside the talented Angie Veches of Ask for the Moon Events who ensured the entire day ran smoothly from start to finish!

We began the day with the bridesmaids and Spa Beauty did a beautiful job on hair and makeup.  The ladies were so much fun to work with and we took some great shots with their robes before Sammi put on her gorgeous gown from the Wedding Shoppe.  Cindy Schaak did an incredible job of creating bouquets with vibrant pops of color that paired perfectly with the girl’s dresses.  One of our all-time favorite things about weddings are the first looks between the bride and her groom, her parents, her bridesmaids, and in THIS wedding, the bride and the groomsmen!  Every single reveal was so much fun to capture!  Moving into the wedding party photos was a blast – we loved the guy’s shirts under their suits and the fun banter between their favorite sports teams throughout the day!

Following a beautiful ceremony, we took a few more portraits.  Even Bernard the Goat got in on the action!  By the end of the evening he was the couple’s new best friend! 🙂 The barn was decorated beautifully for the reception, complete with cake from Miss Sara’s Cakery and food from Green Mill.  Midwest Sound put on a great dance and we ended the evening with a few romantic night shots.  We are so excited for Sammi and Matt as they head off to honeymoon in Iceland and we wish them all the best!
