Spring has officially sprung here in Minneapolis and we are sooo ready for bright, blue skies, green grass, and all the gorgeous color that emerges in the spring! This week, we only had one day without clouds and rain in the forecast, and we were beyond thrilled to be able to photograph this engagement session on the most beautiful evening ever!
When we learned that Lake Harriet was the spot that Jacob proposed, we knew Lyndale Park Peace Garden in Minneapolis would be the perfect place for their spring engagement session! We hoped that by May the snow would be gone (you never know in MN) and that at least a few blooms would be out. The evening far exceeded our expectations and couldn’t have been more incredible!
Emily and Jacob are such a beautiful couple and their outfits were perfect for this setting! Emily’s floral gown and pastel prints in her second outfit coordinated perfectly with the greens and flowering trees within the gardens. We strolled the grounds stopping to catch every bit of the golden-hour light. We loved the way that the sun shone through Emily’s curls and the detail in her necklace and earrings were perfect. The blanket they brought along also made for some really fun shots at the end of the evening!
Emily and Jacob are absolutely incredible people! We had so much fun together and literally laughed the evening away. Emily is a nurse and with this being National Nurses Week we can tell you from experience how incredible nurses are! It takes a special gift to work with people who are ill or injured and Emily is amazing! Jacob is one of the most kind people you will ever meet and we had a blast joking and laughing together throughout the session! We cannot wait to capture their St. Paul wedding next summer!
