It’s no surprise that we love Minneapolis! With its romantic city streets and incredible warehouse areas, it is the perfect setting for engagement and wedding photos in any season and at any time of the day! We scheduled Alison and Matt’s engagement session for sunrise, and even though the sun never made an appearance through the clouds, the light on this morning was something out of a dream! The colors of the skyline in the diffused light coordinated perfectly with Alison and Matt’s outfits and we completely fell in love with these locations all over again!

We began the morning in the Machine Shop area and the pastels of the warehouse setting in the soft, diffused light coordinated perfectly with Alison’s gorgeous floral gown! We LOVE it when couples go formal for at least one of their outfits – Matt’s suit looked so classy and was absolutely amazing for this setting!

We knew that Alison and Matt loved the skyline and the Stone Arch Bridge but also wanted to incorporate a touch of nature for their session. The St. Anthony Main area is the perfect setting for both city and natural backdrops! One of our favorite spots is along the river down among the trees. This setting is incredibly romantic in any season!

We then moved from the natural settings to the streets of St. Anthony Main. We loved the way the bright fall colors worked with their casual outfits and were completely in love with their shoes.  Alison’s white top paired with the warm and cozy fleece layered with Matt’s plaid shirt were perfect. Plaid and fall were pretty much made for each other!

We finished up on the Stone Arch Bridge and it’s safe to say that this couple’s love for each other and contagious joy were hands down our favorite part of this day! We are already counting down the days until their St. Paul wedding next summer!
