St. Paul | Fall Engagement

When Lexi shared her vision of an engagement session at NIGHT we were beyond excited to try something new! We had never done an engagement session after dark and it was so much fun to bring in a new challenge and work with new light! When you think of fall, you usually think of brightly colored leaves and we LOVED the way the red colors of the trees were muted in the evening light.

Lexi and Andrew are an absolutely gorgeous couple! Their outfits were perfect and we LOVED the way they began the session with their casual look. The setting could not have been more romantic. Reading books together, surrounded by lanterns and flickering candles while enjoying a moon-lit picnic among the leaves seemed to be out of a dream! We loved the way the park was lit up with the warm, romantic glow of street-lights.

We could have stayed in that setting all night, however, we couldn’t wait to explore some of Lexi and Andrew’s favorite spots along the St. Paul city streets! We stopped by Moscow on the Hill and various shops with gorgeous window light and completely fell in love with the bokeh created by the city traffic and street lights! Lexi and Andrew’s classic, formal outfit was perfect for the setting and we were beyond excited to finish out the session at one of our favorite restaurants – W.A. Frost & Co.!

If you have not experienced their romantic, award-winning setting of their indoor and outdoor eating areas, we would highly recommend it to anyone planning an intimate wedding, looking for the perfect place to pop the big question, or simply for a romantic date night surrounded by trees lit up by strings of lights! Our favorite time of day to experience W. A. Frost & Co., inspired by this engagement session, is, of course, at night!
