Anoka | Senior Portrait Session

We remember Senior Year of high school like it was yesterday!  It is such a fun time of mixed emotions and excitement for what’s ahead! For Jon’s Senior Portrait Session, we used one of our favorite locations – Downtown Anoka.  There is an endless variety of backdrops with both natural settings as well as brick and even waterfront backdrops.  Jon completely ROCKED this session!  His family came along and were incredible to work with as well!  We had a blast hanging out!  We definitely recommend bringing along a parent or a sibling who you are comfortable with and who puts you at ease, who will help adjust clothing or hair, or who will even just be there to make you laugh!

For clothing choices, we recommend avoiding flashy or busy patterns that distract from the face and instead draw the eye to the clothing.  The goal is to wear a classic, timeless look that fits who you are.  We also recommend trying on all clothing one week prior to the session to allow time for washing, ironing, and hanging clothes – wrinkles can be very distracting in the photos.  This also allows for you to gather alternative outfits in case your first choice doesn’t fit correctly.  We loved Jon’s simple, classic outfits and loved incorporating his love for baseball at the end of his session!

Our goal is to capture your style and personality, so the most important thing for you to do is just be yourself.  We want you to be able to relax and have fun during the session!  Don’t worry, most high school seniors have never experienced a professional photoshoot and it is completely normal to feel a bit nervous!  I promise, by the end of the session we will be laughing and joking together – it really is a fun time!
