The Hutton House in Medicine Lake is one of our favorite wedding venues for many reasons! The staff are incredible to work with and the white backdrops throughout the venue are a photographer’s dream! Every bit of this wedding day was perfect! We loved getting to know Rachel and Drew and their families throughout the day!
From the moment we began in the bridal suite with Sanctuary SalonSpa on hair and makeup, to Rachel putting on her gown from Effie’s Bridal Trunk by Willowby – Watters, every detail was beautiful! Capturing Rachel and Drew’s moms’ reactions to seeing Rachel in her gown was priceless. The sweet emotions continued as Rachel greeted her father and then her groom by the fireplace. We braved the summer heat for a few photos outside and then finished indoors with family and wedding party photos.
The ceremony began and the laughter and tears were such an honor to be able to capture! The details of the reception were stunning and the food was incredible! One of our favorite parts of this wedding was the speeches. There were countless moments of laughter, hugs, sweet tears, and memories shared. The dances began with music by the talented Riverside Hitmen live band. There is something about the energy of live music and a group gathered together to celebrate the new couple, the father dancing with his beautiful daughter, and the sweet mother-son bond that makes wedding dances such a gift to be a part of.
We ended the evening with a few golden-hour photos and left feeling incredibly grateful for the opportunity to do what we do! The words of Rachel’s mother, Jill, meant the world to us: “Shane, we knew you were a very talented photographer after seeing your portfolio- we now know you truly have a heart for for wedding photography and for brides and grooms!”
