The Woods Chapel has an absolutely epic outdoor ceremony location nestled amidst the trees and surrounded by deep woods. They ALSO have an adorable indoor chapel that oftentimes couples use for winter weddings or if the weather does not cooperate on their big day. We are SO glad that Micah and David chose to use the indoor space for their perfectly sunny summertime wedding! The way that the sunlight streamed through the windows that day was so unbelievably beautiful that it just takes our breath away.
Something about small, intimate, family weddings holds a soft spot in our hearts. Micah and David’s day was sweet, intimate, and absolutely gorgeous! Liz, Micah’s bridesmaid, wore a gown from Nordstrom and Chris, David’s Best Man, sported a suit from Savvi Formalwear. The couple’s vision was to create a small, intimate destination-feel wedding. In Micah’s words, “We chose 6Smith because it was near water and the Woods Chapel because it was surrounded by nature. We wanted to maintain the small intimate feel we would have on a beach so we kept our wedding party and our guest list small-limiting it to our closest family and friends.”
We LOVED this wedding! Not only was the Woods Chapel perfect for portraits surrounded by tall willows and beautiful greens, but 6Smith Restaurant created the perfect waterfront feel for portraits before the reception! Taking photos along the docks was a blast! The food at 6Smith was incredible and we loved how the style of the restaurant and the details of the table settings had both an industrial and colorful vibe. The dinner and speeches were beautiful and there were so many moments and emotions captured in the dance! Father/daughter and mother/son dances are always so sweet and we loved how much fun this couple had with their group! We wish them all the best as they plan to kick off life as newlyweds with a honeymoon in Hawaii!
