When a couple chooses one of our favorite venues for their wedding we are thrilled!  When they choose TWO of our favorites, we are in heaven!  This was a wedding we were honored to cover under the talented Matt Lien Photography.  Second shooting for Matt gave us an opportunity to really focus in on specific special moments of the wedding day – some of our favorites that we usually cover, but aren’t able to really relish in the way we did at this wedding.  From the very beginning of the day, the men getting ready at the cozy Woods Chapel was one of our all time favorite letter-reading moments.  We love it when you can FEEL the love that the groom has for his bride.

The first look is another of our favorite moments of a wedding day.  The anticipation of all of your planning and preparing to celebrate your new beginning has finally come to an end and in one short moment you will FINALLY get to see your stunning bride in her gown that she has dreamed of wearing for what seems like forever.  You finally get to see your groom’s smiling face framed by that classy tux and perfectly coordinated boutonniere and pocket square.  It’s one of the few moments you can share privately on your wedding day – a moment where all of the motion slows down and the world around you blurs and you can just BE.  It’s always our goal that we would “disappear” in this moment and that we can capture true, authentic, raw emotion as couples realize ‘THIS IS IT!”  “We are really getting married!!!”

There couldn’t have been a more perfect setting for this first-look.  The Woods Chapel is the very definition of intimate and cozy.  The venue is surrounded by a deep wood that is lush and beautiful and absolutely breathtaking in any season!  When you pair it with the luxurious and elegant Lafayette Club for the reception, you have a wedding that is, in our world, perfect!  The Lafayette Club is luxury at its best and its staff is incredible to work with.  Every detail is attended to and this wedding’s wintery and golden details pulled in all the warmth and love of the perfect wedding day.
