It is always a joy to capture families as they vacation in Florida, and when Laura reached out to book a session to celebrate her mom’s birthday, we were incredibly honored!  There is nothing quite like gifting memories, and having the entire family gathered together to celebrate is truly the best gift!  We met for their session on a chilly but beautiful morning at Sanibel Moorings Resort.  The swaying seagrass on the beach created the dreamiest backdrop for portraits, perfectly incorporating the coastal charm that Southwest Florida is known for.

After starting out among the trees, we made our way down to the water’s edge.  Laura’s family had chosen the perfect outfits for their session, and their palette of blues and whites coordinated effortlessly with the setting.  The soft blues mirrored the sparkling waters of the ocean, while the crisp whites felt fresh and timeless against the sandy shoreline.  The kids did amazing with the brisk breeze coming off the Gulf, and we loved photographing them as they explored the coastline finding shells.   You never know what you’ll find on the beach – whether it be sand sculptures, or tiny sea creatures, it’s always an adventure! 

Laura’s family had traveled all the way from Ohio to soak up time together in the sunshine state.  They love spending time in both Delray Beach and Sanibel Island, and with their breathtaking beaches, it’s no surprise they hold a special place in their hearts.  We finished up the session by capturing portraits of each group, and from grandparents surrounded by their children and grandkids to adorable baby giggles as they are tossed into the air, every combination was sweet and so much fun to photograph!  We are so grateful we were able to connect with this beautiful family and to document this sweet season for them!
