Gretchen and Eric’s big day was absolutely stunning from start to finish!  It was expertly coordinated by Lasting Impressions Weddings who ensured every single detail was nothing short of perfection.  The morning began in the bridal suite where the ladies had just finished hair with Sydney Benson.  Gretchen put on her incredible 1930s style dress from Cinq in Los Angeles along with her breathtaking veil, and we stepped outside for her first look with her groom.  We explored the grounds for portraits of the two of them before the wedding party joined us looking amazing in their suits and Jenny Yoo dresses from Bella Bridesmaids in Chicago.

We captured family portraits at St. Martin’s by the Lake, and finished up before the guests arrived with Renee’s Limousines.  The ceremony began with music by Lake String Quartet, and Gretchen and Eric exchanged vows surrounded by their closest family and friends.  They exited the church to the cheers of their guests before heading back to the Lafayette Club for the reception.  The ballroom looked incredible with decor from Apres and the most beautiful arrangements by Apricot Floral.  The tall candelabras along with the bouquets of foxglove, irises, and gladiolus were the perfect touch to the 1930s English countryside theme.

Following cocktail hour, guests enjoyed dinner, speeches, and a Buttercream cake for dessert.  Afterwards, we stepped out for a few golden hour photos, and the evening came to a close with dancing hosted by Mitch of Instant Request.  We topped off the night with photos of the newlyweds under the moonlight, and it couldn’t have been a more epic ending to a gorgeous day!  Gretchen and Eric, it was an honor to be a part of your wedding, and we hope your honeymoon in Kauai this fall will be a dream come true!
