There is nothing we love more than being able to capture a part of who each couple is on their wedding day. A piece of their history. A part of their legacy. Hearing the story behind Lori’s wedding gown was incredibly special and we loved being able to experience her mother’s reaction to seeing her beautiful daughter in what was once her own wedding gown, passed down to her from her own mother. Lori’s dress was handmade for her grandmother’s wedding who was married in the Philippines 50 years ago. Handmade with care, and worn by a daughter and then a granddaughter 50 years later, this dress was simply beautiful!
Lori and Noah are the sweetest couple ever! Their beautiful spring wedding was the perfect combination of tradition, sentiment and beauty. Bearpath Golf and Country Club was the perfect venue to host their event! Styled by Abbi did an amazing job on makeup, and we loved Lori’s blush colored bridesmaid dresses from Azazie! The men also looked classy in their tuxes from Savvi Formalwear. Following portraits, we began the ceremony in which the couple incorporated a few Filipino wedding traditions including a Yugal cord ceremony in which the couple’s sponsors draped the infinity shaped cord over the couple as a symbol of unity. Lori’s mother and her grandmother also shared this special tradition in their weddings and Lori’s grandfather handmade their Yugal cord. The ceremony ended with the guests showering the joy-filled newlyweds with flower petals!
Following the ceremony, we enjoyed dinner and speeches complete with cake from Country Cake Cupboard and dancing DJed by Instant Request. We ended the evening with a few golden hour photos and the light could not have been more perfect! Lori and Noah, your day was a dream and we wish all the best as you begin your next adventure together!
