Spring has officially sprung and love is in the air! Linda and Nick’s wedding took place at one of our favorite venues – the Gale Mansion. This historic, Victorian mansion is perfect for an elegant wedding and has countless romantic settings for photos. Jessie Kelley and her team are amazing to work with and we love connecting with her every time we photograph there. She does such a great job to keep the day running smoothly! We love starting off wedding days by photographing the details. Oftentimes, it’s the small things that make for the sweetest parts of the day. Linda placed a 6 pence in her shoe that both her mother and grandmother (who recently passed away) wore when they were married. We love it when couples incorporate sentimental details into their day, especially when they involve traditions that have been passed down for generations.
Every detail about this day was perfect! Linda’s wedding dress was from Bridal Elegance and Formalwear and Nick’s suit was from Jos. A Bank. Linda and Nick used the Heritage Room for their indoor ceremony and we loved the way her red florals worked with the rich colors of the woodwork, the Oriental carpets, and the light streaming in through the windows. We also love using the alcove’s library lined with old books and sculptures. It has such a romantic feel and is one of our favorite places in the mansion. The ceremony was beautiful and we were able to capture so many moments filled with emotion! Following the ceremony, the guests enjoyed dinner and speeches by the couple’s closest friends. We ended the evening with dancing hosted by Instant Request DJ and a few moonlit photos under the stars. It was such an honor to be a part of such a beautiful, elegant and intimate day!
