When we learned that Heather and Zach discovered us through our YouTube channel while searching for a wedding venue, we were so excited for them as they planned their big day!  We are always incredibly honored when couples work around our availability before choosing their wedding date, and we couldn’t wait to connect with these two at their engagement session!  They knew they wanted to capture their photos within a natural setting, and being that they both enjoy hiking together, we couldn’t think of a better way to document their love story than by exploring the beautiful St. Croix Valley for their session.

Spring is the perfect season to head outside and soak up the sights of the forests and rock cliffs in Taylors Falls.  As we walked along the river’s edge, we paused for portraits at every breathtaking backdrop and had the best time as we explored.  These two met and fell in love while in college, and it was on a trip to Glacier National Park that Heather was sure that Zach was going to propose.  Zach, however, had other plans up his sleeve, and he ended up popping the question on the perfect day at a winery last summer, completely catching Heather by surprise.  They are now coming up on their five year anniversary, and we are beyond excited for them as they anticipate their big day!

The two will tie the knot this fall at the Lone Oak Farm, and we can’t wait to celebrate with them alongside their family and friends!  We have no doubt that fall will be an absolutely incredible season to capture the beauty of the farm’s gorgeous white barn nestled within the rolling hills of the Red River Valley, and photographing their wedding surrounded by bright vibrant foliage will be nothing short of amazing!
