There is something truly magical about golden hour at the beach, and Bowditch Point Park in Fort Myers is one of our favorite places to watch the sun setting over the ocean. Surrounded by palm trees, white sand, and starfish along the shore, the park is one of the area’s most beautiful settings for portrait sessions. We love that it allows us to use different sides of the island depending on the wind direction, and there is certainly no shortage of breathtaking views of the Gulf!
When Chelsea reached out to book a destination portrait session last fall, we couldn’t wait to connect! She and her husband, along with their adorable baby boy, were planning on traveling from Minnesota to Florida with her husband’s family to soak up some time together in the sunshine state. We met on an absolutely gorgeous evening, and had a blast chatting as we explored. Their vacation began with trips to Pine Island and Cape Coral, and they were looking forward to trying out a few new beaches and restaurants in the days ahead.
As we finished up portraits among the trees, we headed out to the sand as the sun began to set. Chelsea’s family looked amazing, and completely knocked it out of the park with their outfits! We absolutely loved the way their soft, neutral colors coordinated with each backdrop, and could not get over how adorable their little boys were! At 8 months and one year old, they are already making the sweetest of memories for their parents, and we are so excited for their friendship to grow in the years to come. Capturing the short but sweet season of life with little ones is always such a joy, and documenting time spent together as families vacation in Southwest Florida has been so much fun!
