Despite growing up only a few minutes away from each other, it wasn’t until beginning the same Masters Degree program all the way out in Oregon that Kelsi and Greg met for the first time. They began dating, fell in love, and moved back to Minnesota where they enjoy exploring the Brainerd Lakes area together. We were so excited to join them for their wedding day at the gorgeous Luminary in Brainerd. It was the perfect venue for their intimate day with their closest family and friends. Kelsi and her sister began the day with Bliss Salon & Boutique on hair and makeup. They looked absolutely stunning with Kelsi in her Morilee gown from The Wedding Shoppe, and her sister in her bridesmaid dress by Kennedy Blue. We are completely in love with their breathtaking bouquets by Kate Kuepers of Bloom Designs, and every room was decorated perfectly with bright and colorful florals.
Kelsi met Greg outdoors for their beautiful and emotional first look, and we began portraits throughout the grounds. Their highest priority for their wedding day was to take as many portraits as possible around their venue – a photographer’s dream come true! The Northern Pacific Center has countless photo opportunities; there are literally stunning backdrops at every turn. We love the variety of brick, wood, ivy, and wide open white spaces. Everything from the bridal suite, to the ceremony space, to the grounds with its historic, industrial buildings are amazing to photograph and explore!
We headed indoors for portraits with family before the ceremony began. The couple’s incredibly talented friend provided “One Man Band” music for both the ceremony and the cocktail hour to follow. Guests enjoyed the most delicious appetizers and cake by the Knotty Pine Bakery. We ended the evening with sunset photos and a sparkler send off – the perfect ending to the perfect day!
