We absolutely love how photographing sessions in two states allows us to capture portraits in a variety of seasons and settings.  From the sunny shores of Southwest Florida, to the brilliant vibrant colors of Minnesota’s spring, summer, and fall seasons, both states make doing what we do so much fun! Photographing sessions in the autumn, with the bright hues and textures of every backdrop, makes capturing portraits a breeze.

We met for April’s family session on a gorgeous fall evening, and the weather did not disappoint.  Golden hour was at its finest, and the temps were ideal for portraits.  Their outfits were perfect for the setting, and their tones blended beautifully with all the natural backdrops!  We first had the pleasure of connecting with April as the coordinator of a few of our weddings.  She has been a delight to work with, and we met her husband when we photographed a session for them at a breathtaking beach in Naples.  We celebrated with them as they welcomed their baby girl to their family and captured their first family photos when she was just a few months old.  It’s hard to believe how quickly time flies, as she is now already one!

These three were such a gift to serve, and their daughter did such a great job for photos! One of the best parts of the evening was watching her explore her surroundings.  She was full of curiosity as she picked up leaves, snuggled with her parents, and completely melted hearts with her adorable smile.  Capturing these memories is such a joy and truly an honor to freeze these moments in time!  We are so grateful to have been able to document April’s beautiful family’s story, and we are beyond excited for them to experience the many sweet seasons ahead!
