Fall is one of our favorite times of year for photographing portraits, and this season has been filled with so many incredible families!  When Marco and Katie reached out to book their session, we were thrilled! We’ve known these two for years and had the honor of documenting their very first family session when Katie was expecting their oldest son.  Capturing her maternity photos was an absolute joy, and we can hardly believe how fast time flies!

This year we met their sweet family at the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory at Como Park in St. Paul.  The evening was absolutely stunning, with unseasonably warm weather and bright sunlight shining through the trees. The setting couldn’t have been more perfect for portraits with lush greenery, colorful blooms, and gorgeous golden hour light throughout the entire session.  We set off to explore the park together and had the best time as we paused for portraits at every beautiful backdrop.  The whole family looked amazing, and their outfits coordinated perfectly!  Their vibrant tones paired with the flowers in front of the conservatory beautifully, and we loved the gorgeous pops of color in Katie’s floral dress.

Katie and Marco’s boys did such an amazing job for the session!  They were full of energy and capturing their laughter and smiles as they ran together was so much fun!  Katie’s mom joined in for a few photos, and documenting the sweet moments between the boys and their grandma was such a joy.  It’s sessions like these that remind us of why we love what we do.  We are always so grateful to document so many meaningful milestones of families’ stories.  Getting to see their kids grow over the years is so much fun, and photographing these sweet seasons of life to make memories is truly a gift!
