When perfect weather and golden hour at the lake is paired with the sweetest couple, we know we are in for an incredible engagement session!  From the moment that Rachel and Danny reached out to book their wedding at the Lafayette Club, we were beyond excited to capture their love story!  Both are incredibly kind, and we couldn’t wait to connect at their engagement session.  We met on a gorgeous summer evening at Clifton E. French Regional Park, along the shores of Medicine Lake. With warm light streaming through the trees, the setting couldn’t have been more beautiful, and these two looked absolutely amazing!  Rachel’s white and blue nautical-inspired dresses and Danny’s classic tones paired perfectly with the setting.

We set off to explore the park, capturing portraits surrounded by vibrant green trees, and chatting as we walked.  These two first met on Lake Minnetonka, and boating continues to be one of their favorite things to do together.  We also discovered that we both share a love for Boca Grande in Florida! We love the nautical vibe as well, and including photos with their boat and incorporating such a meaningful piece of their story into their session was truly such a joy!  

After finished out the evening on the lake, and soaking up every last second of light, we wrapped up their dream session.  Aside from the stunning setting, what stood out most was the joy that Rachel and Danny share.  Their connection is so genuine and full of laughter, making photographing their love for each other effortless!  We had the best time together and can’t wait to continue documenting their love story at their wedding next fall.  We have just over one year to wait, and we have no doubt it will be absolutely stunning from start to finish!
