Senior year is such an exciting milestone, and it has been both a joy and an honor to document this sweet season of life for so many families over the years!  Not only is it a time of sentimental reflection and celebrating achievements, but it’s also filled with excitement of anticipation and dreaming about the future. It’s one of our favorite seasons to photograph, because we know all too well how quickly it flies by, and how much it means to freeze this moment in time.

We met Kalisa for her session on a beautiful warm evening at William O’Brien State Park and set off to explore the fields together.  With the warm weather and later sunsets, summer is one of our favorite times of year to capture senior sessions, and the golden hour glow never disappoints.  There’s something simply magical about photographing in fields with vibrant colors and textures that provide a dream backdrop for portraits.  Kalisa’s outfit choices were spot-on, and her white and floral dresses with their soft neutral tones complemented the settings perfectly!  

After finishing up at the park, we headed to the quaint little town of Marine on St. Croix to capture portraits among the shops.  The variety that the building’s backdrops brought to the session could not have been more perfect, and we loved that the area holds special memories for Kalisa’s family!  It is always our goal to photograph senior sessions in locations that feel both timeless and personal, capturing the beauty of who they are in a meaningful way.  We finished out the evening with a few portraits along the river and featuring the area’s gorgeous waterfall which made this setting an absolute dream to photograph!  We had the best time at Kalisa’s session, and it was an honor to document this season life for her!
