We are back in Minnesota, and spring has officially sprung! Green grass, blooming trees, and gorgeous warm evenings have arrived much earlier than typical up north, and we are here for it. There’s something simply magical about photographing sessions in this season with its soft light and the beauty of flowering trees. Springtime provides the perfect setting to capture life’s most precious moments, and we were beyond excited to connect again with one of the sweetest families we know. Sara had reached out to book a portrait session last fall, hoping to book in time for the blossoms. She and her husband had welcomed a second son since their last session, and we couldn’t wait to document their growing family!
We truly can’t believe how quickly time has flown by. It seems as if it were just yesterday that we were photographing their engagement, wedding, and first family photos when their oldest son was 6 months old. Now that their second born was the same age, we were honored to capture the same season for them all over again! We met at Elm Creek Park Reserve on a stunning, almost summer-like evening and headed straight for the trees. The boys were adorable, and did absolutely amazing for the session! Their melt-your-heart smiles, and wide-eyed wonder was every bit as cute as their little outfits, and we had the best time capturing their giggles as they explored the great outdoors with their parents.
Their is no greater joy than to be able to capture photos for young growing families. Documenting the love that parents have for their little ones is truly such a gift! We could hardly wait to deliver these images, just in time for Mother’s Day, and hope that they are a sweet memory for many more years to come!
