There is something incredibly special about photographing a baby’s first time to the beach!  Moments like these are so much more than simply documenting a trip.  To families who travel down to enjoy time together in Southwest Florida, it’s a milestone and one of our favorites to capture.  When Liz reached out to book a destination family session, we couldn’t wait to connect!  We met on a beautiful warm evening, and began with photos among the palms.  Liz and her husband were so wonderful to work with, and their son was an absolute delight to photograph! He was as happy as can be, and literally smiled throughout the entire session!

We chatted as we headed out to the beach, and learned that they were staying at the incredible Gasparilla Inn.  It was their first visit to Boca Grande, and we were so excited for them to soak up the beauty and charm of the island!  We are so happy they could take a break from Minnesota’s chilly spring weather for some time in the sun, and were thrilled to have the quiet beach nearly all to ourselves.  We walked along the water’s edge and had the best time as their sweet baby boy took in the awe and wonder of it all!

The mystery of a seashell, the tickle of the waves, and the soft and sticky sand were all new experiences, and it was so much fun to document his reactions to the sights and sounds.  We absolutely loved his tiny toes in the sand, and the sound of his giggle as the water rushed in.  Capturing candid moments like these to create cherished memories is just one of the many reasons we love what we do.  We are so happy we could serve this sweet family in the sunshine state!
