We absolutely love photographing destination family sessions!  Not only do they go beyond just simply documenting milestones or a specific season of life, but they also create timeless memories set within the incredible and unique surroundings of Southwest Florida. There is something truly magical about capturing portraits here, especially when soft, golden-hour light meets the natural beauty of the beach.  One of our favorite places for beach sessions is on Gasparilla Island, and when Rachel reached out to book in Boca Grande, we were thrilled and couldn’t wait to connect again!  

Much like her session one year ago, we met on an absolutely breathtaking evening! The light was nothing short of perfection, and was a complete dream for a photographer working with a fellow photographer.  Golden hour was stunning, and we started things out beside a few of our favorite buildings for some neutral backdrops for portraits.  Every single one of Rachel’s sweet family looked amazing, and we adored their natural colored outfits that coordinated perfectly with the setting!  As the sun began to set, we headed out to finish on the sand.  The waves were gently rolling in, and it was so much fun capturing candids as the kids ran along the water’s edge, jumped, and splashed in the sea.  Their genuine joy and authentic smiles were truly a gift to photograph!

Capturing portraits for families as they travel together adds such an emotional element to the photos.  We love looking back on our own vacations from years past, which is what motivates us to document those moments for others as well!  We know how quickly time flies for families with young kids, and our hope is that Rachel and her husband look back on these images with the sweetest memories of their time together in the sunshine state.
