Capturing so many new and exciting stages of life is always such a joy! Summer is usually a busy season for weddings, so we love it when we can sneak in a portrait session or two. Mid to late summer provides such vibrant rich colors and textures to every setting which is why it is one of our favorite times of year to photograph outdoors. We love using natural backdrops, as there is something about tall pine trees, flowers, grassy fields, and weeping willows that are absolutely breathtaking – especially in this season.
We met Leah and her mom for her Senior Portrait session on a gorgeous warm day with perfect soft light. The sun created a stunning golden hour glow before a slight cloud coverage gave us nice even light for the remainder of the evening. We were so happy that the hydrangeas were in full bloom, and the willow trees are always a favorite of ours to use for portraits. Leah is absolutely beautiful, both inside and out, and she made this session easy with her sweet personality and gorgeous smile! Her outfits could not have been more perfect for the setting with their soft and neutral colors.
We had the best time exploring throughout Leah’s session, and it was so much fun getting to know her as we chatted. She loves spending time with friends and stays busy working at a local ice cream shop. She also plays for a competitive volleyball team that travels to cities such as Chicago, Nashville, Myrtle Beach, Las Vegas, and that even went to nationals in Orlando this past June. We couldn’t be more excited for her as she heads into her senior year this fall! It was truly such an honor to have been able to document this sweet milestone for her!
