Michaela and David first connected with us at a wedding we photographed last year, and we were incredibly honored when they reached out the following month to see if we were open for their own date.  They are planning their dream wedding at the Lumber Exchange, and we are already counting down the days until next summer! We are thrilled to be a part of documenting their love story, and were so excited to connect again at their engagement session in Minneapolis.

Summertime in the city is always the best, and these gorgeous warm evenings provide the perfect light for capturing portraits!  Photographing sessions around the Machine Shop is a favorite of ours, and we can’t get enough of its surrounding urban backdrops.  With Michaela and David’s wedding taking place in the city, we loved being able to incorporate the area into their engagement photos as well. These two looked absolutely incredible, and Michaela’s dresses, along with David’s shades of white, blue, and khaki, coordinated perfectly with the hues of the skyline.  Their colors with the soft, evening light made this session simply stunning.  We also loved that they brought their sweet golden retriever along who did amazing for portraits as well!

We finished out the evening with some skyline photos and had the best time chatting as we strolled through the streets.  Michaela and David are attorneys who met in law school, and they knew right away that they were meant to be!  David proposed at a park in Iowa where they used to take walks together, and they now love spending time in Minneapolis with their puppy.  They enjoy traveling and plan to visit St. Lucia this winter for a wedding.  We are beyond excited for them to celebrate together as they continue to plan their own big day!
