There is something simply magical about spring time in the city, and photographing engagement sessions in Minneapolis is always so much fun!  Capturing the exciting season of being fiancé’s in places that hold special meaning to our couples makes doing what we do such an honor.  Knowing that Sarah and Matt have spent countless hours walking these streets together as they fell in love made it the perfect location for their engagement session.  

We met these two on an absolutely gorgeous evening and set off to explore St. Anthony Main.  We captured portraits near one of our favorite spots: the Machine Shop, before we walked to the Mississippi River’s edge for photos with the iconic Minneapolis skyline.  Sarah and Matt looked amazing in both of their outfits, and we couldn’t have had dreamier hues of golden hour light to work with.  After wrapping things up with portraits by Aster Cafe, we walked a few blocks north to end their session at Fletcher’s Ice Cream & Cafe – yet another sweet part of their love story.

These two are truly incredible, and Sarah has a heart of gold!  We had the best time chatting about her recent trip to India with a program that provides pediatric cardiology services to children in developing countries.  She and Matt, who works in IT, met online and could not be more perfect for each other.  It was on a trip up north together that Matt had proposed, and the two are now planning their dream wedding.  Sarah loves the bright vibrant colors of autumn in Minnesota, and we can’t think of a more breathtaking season for their big day at Leopold’s Mississippi Gardens!  We are already counting down the days until we can continue documenting their story as they tie the knot surrounded by family and friends!
