Taylors Falls never ceases to amaze us.  No matter what the season, it is an absolutely epic location for engagement photos, and we could not wait to connect with Lauren and Reese to explore the great outdoors together for their spring session!  Capturing engagements is always so much fun, and we are beyond excited for these two as they soak up this season as fiancés!

We arrived in the St. Croix Valley on a beautiful evening, and began with portraits among the lilacs.  Lauren loves bright colors, so naturally her bouquet of florals was the perfect touch for their spring session.  Lauren and Reese are incredibly friendly and so much fun!  They brought along their adorable puppy, Rusty, who will also be their “Best Dog” in their wedding.  We had the best time exploring the woods and trails together, and it was such a joy to capture Rusty’s sweet personality.  As we made our way down to the river’s edge, we chatted about their story and upcoming wedding.    

Lauren and Reese met as students at the University of Minnesota, and it didn’t take long for the two to realize they were meant to be. They dated for years before Reese proposed to Lauren in Chicago last fall.  He had planned to take her around to all of their favorite places they had discovered together when Lauren was working through graduate school before popping the question, and of course Lauren said “Yes!” The two celebrated at Avec Restaurant, and the wedding planning began.  Lauren and Reese will be getting married at the Beach Club in Minneapolis this summer, and to say we are excited is an understatement!  They are working with Style-Architects to plan their dream day, and we have no doubt it will be absolutely incredible from start to finish!
