From the moment Morgan and Joe met, it was clear they were meant to be.  We absolutely love getting to hear how each of our couples meet, and these two have the sweetest story!  After meeting online, the two had planned to meet up for the first time at a dog park as Joe had just gotten a new black lab puppy.  Excitement was running high as they anticipated their first date, but before the date could even begin, they ran into each other at Target where Morgan was purchasing a gift for Joe’s puppy and Joe was picking out something for Morgan.  Obviously, they knew they had found “the one” and the rest is history!

When Morgan requested a winter engagement session, we knew that Taylors Falls would be the perfect place!  It is epic in any season, and whether it be exploring and hiking, or skiing in Welch Village, these two love spending time in the great outdoors. We met for a mid-day session, and set off to explore the cliffs for portraits.  Morgan and Joe are perfect together, and it was such a joy to capture their love for each other.  Documenting the romantic season of being engaged is so much fun, and we are already looking forward to capturing their wedding at the Loft at Studio J in Stillwater next summer!

As we finished up their session, we chatted about wedding planning and the upcoming holidays.  It turns out they will be spending Christmas in Naples, Florida, and we learned that Morgan shares our love of one of our favorite beaches at Vanderbilt Park.  We are beyond excited for them to celebrate this season with family as fiancé’s.  Their big day will be here before we know it, and we can’t wait until we can continue capturing their story at their wedding!
