Engagement sessions are some of our favorites to photograph.  There is something incredibly magical about the season of being engaged.  Celebrating with family and friends while anticipating and planning a wedding is so exciting, and we have had the best time documenting this sweet stage of life for couples surrounded by the beauty that autumn in Minnesota brings.  We especially love the variety of backdrops that Minneapolis’ trees, brick buildings, and city skyline provide, and when we learned that Brenna and Erik’s first date took place on St. Anthony Main, we knew it was the perfect location to capture their engagement photos.  Incorporating pieces of our couple’s love stories into their session is always so much fun!

These two are such a stunning couple, and both looked incredible as we set off to explore.  We began with the skyline as our backdrop with their formal attire, and absolutely loved Brenna’s gorgeous dress and Erik’s black suit.  Their casual outfit also paired perfectly with the warm, fall foliage and industrial spaces near the Machine Shop.  The fall colors were at their finest, and the leaves provided the most amazing textures as we captured portraits along St. Anthony Main.  The chemistry these two share, along with the bold, bright hues of the trees and soft evening light made this session a blast to photograph!

Brenna and Erik’s session was nothing short of perfection, and we were so glad we were able to schedule before the snow began to fly.  Despite the colder temps, these two were up for anything and completely nailed their session!  We are beyond excited to continue capturing the next season of their love story next summer.  They are getting married at The Aisling in Hudson, WI and we can’t wait to be a part of their big day!
