It has been a while since we have had the opportunity to photograph on the Wisconsin side of Taylors Falls, and when Gabrielle and Justin requested to book their engagement session at Interstate State Park, we were beyond excited to return! The St. Croix Valley is simply breathtaking, especially this time of year when the bright colors pop against the cliffs creating a stunning backdrop for portraits. Photographing sessions surrounded by the beauty of autumn in the midwest makes this season one of our favorites!
We met Gabrielle and Justin on a gorgeous sun-soaked afternoon, and set off to explore. The two looked amazing in their fall colors, and were so sweet as we captured portraits surrounded by the vibrant trees and cliffs. We had the best time together, and getting to know them has been so much fun! When we discovered that Justin proposed to Gabrielle in the very place we took their engagement photos, it made their session all the more meaningful! They love spending time outdoors, and after meeting online, it was on a walk around Lake Nokomis that their love story first began. Since then, the two have spent many hours walking in Taylors Falls, and Justin knew it would be the perfect setting to pop the question.
It was a beautiful fall day as they enjoyed a picnic together in the park. Gabrielle was sitting at a picnic table while Justin grilled ribeye steaks, and before she knew it, he was on one knee asking her to be his wife! She said yes, and the two celebrated with family afterwards. We could not be more excited for them as they plan their wedding! We have no doubt it will be absolutely incredible, and can’t wait for them to celebrate surrounded by their family and friends!
