Ashley and Joe are two of the most friendly people you’ll meet, and have been incredibly kind throughout the wedding planning process! Both love grilling, hiking, and spending time outdoors, and knew they wanted a natural location for their engagement session. We met in Taylors Falls on an absolutely beautiful fall afternoon, and set off to explore the woods alongside the St. Croix River. These two completely nailed their session, and we had the best time capturing their love for each other!
One of our favorite parts of engagement sessions is getting to know our couples before their big day. Ashley and Joe are the sweetest couple, and hearing their story has been such a joy! After meeting online, they went shopping and out to eat at the Red Cow for their first date. Afterward, they took a walk together, and it didn’t take long for the two to know they had found “the one.” Joe planned to propose on the Tampa Riverwalk and celebrate with family in Florida. However, circumstances changed, so knowing Ashley loves wineries, Joe knew of just the place to propose in Minnesota. When those plans changed as well, he finally decided to propose at the Richard T. Anderson Conservation Area in Eden Prairie.
As it turns out, the third time was the charm, and it ended up being the perfect place, time, and setting to pop the question. Surrounded by the Minnesota River Bluffs, the two arrived at the top of a hill to music playing and a sign that read “Marry Me!” Of course, Ashely said yes! They will tie the knot at Erickson Farmstead in Isanti, and we know it will be an absolute dream day! We are beyond excited to be a part of their wedding, and can’t wait to continue documenting their sweet love story next summer!
