We are beyond excited to be back photographing sessions in Taylors Falls!  Not only does this location boast epic views of the St. Croix Valley, but when the sun begins to set over the trees along the river, it makes for an absolutely breathtaking setting for photos.  We could not have had a more gorgeous day for Laura and Darin’s engagement session, and these two were all smiles as we set off to explore the cliffs together.  Their kindness, love for each other, and giddy anticipation for their big day completely radiated through their beautiful smiles throughout the entire session!

We talked and laughed the evening away as we paused for portraits at all of our favorite spots.  From the moment these two reached out to book their wedding, they have been an absolute joy to get to know!  They had met online, and Darin, who loves to cook, prepared a picnic complete with smoked salmon for their first date.  Laura knew she had found “the one,” and it didn’t take long for the two to know it was meant to be!

When Darin found out that Laura was planning to visit friends in the Badlands in South Dakota, he reached out to them to coordinate the perfect plan for a surprise proposal.  Laura arrived to meet up with her friend who owns a coffee shop, and there was Darin waiting for her at a private table set for two.  He popped the question, and of course Laura said yes!  The two will tie the knot at the beautiful Gale Woods Farm in Minnetrista, and we can hardly wait to continue documenting their sweet love story!  Their wedding is now just over one month away, and we are counting down the days until we get to capture their big day!
